04 Mar Less is More
As we begin to be mindful of fasting in our breath, we initiate a tremendous transformation in the way we respond and act in other areas of our lives.
The reduced breathing subconsciously trains our mind to be satisfied with less – less food, less money, less desires. It trains the mind to not be perturbed by unmet expectations or unfulfilled desires but to remain still in adverse situations
By exercising control over the breath, you are subconsciously liberating yourself from being taken prisoner of your likes and dislikes and the negative emotions resulting from unfulfilled desires.
In an environment of consumerism and the mindlessness around accumulating more, reduced and controlled breathing in a mindful manner makes you aware of how much you ?truly? need and how comfortable you can be with less.
